Just to let you know I have made a gallery for the puppies. Please look at this often as I will put in photos as and when I can! I will endeavour to do video clips in the diary!

all seven puppies!
Well what an afternoon!!! The final tally in pups is SEVEN! Molly has been fantastic throughout.
3.15pm Black GIRL 14.5oz
3.25pm Black GIRL 14.5oz
4.20pm Yellow GIRL 14.5oz
4.30pm Yellow BOY 1lb1oz
4.47pm Black BOY 15oz
5.54 Black BOY 14.1oz
6.16 Black GIRL 15.9oz
They have all been checked over and seem 100% healthy puppies, I will need to check the umbilical cords regularly.
Molly is doing fabulously and has been so very calm. The start of the labour was not at all text book and nothing like her previous labours. Usually you get a period of time whereby they are pacing, nesting alot and panting. We didnt get any pacing or panting! She nested half heartedly about three times. I was checking her regularly and noticed at 2.55pm a sac had appeared, with no apparent contractions. It was a bit of a worry for a little while as we were wondering if she was going to get going, so to help Molly we put up a sheet across the window, to darken the room (she was in the utlitiy room). We neednt have worried as the puppy arrived safely at 3.15pm. We then managed to get Molly into the “labour ward” for the safe arrival of a further 6 puppies.

First and second born girls!
Molly has taken us by surprise with NO first stage labour whatsoever, she has been sitting quietly in the kitchen. aT 2.55PM I checked her to find a sac!! It burst. At this time Molly wasnt having any apparant contractions so we were a bit concerned.

Mum and puppies are doing well. I will update as soon as I can with further news!
Happy Mothers Day to all Mums and to our lovely Molly too!
I have taken a little video clip of Mum-to-be! The puppies are wiggling about all the time and I think it must be quite uncomfortable for poor Molly.
I have treated Molly to some scrambled egg and natural yoghurt at lunchtime, this is in addition to her increased portions of “puppy” food!
Here is the video of Molly’s Tummy
I have taken a few photos today as it is the Puppies of 2011 Birthday – which means Melvin and his brothers and sisters are now 2 years old!
So happy birthday to Sam, Marley, Bunty, Summer, Melvin, Amber, Rocky and Tess.
Molly’s tummy has changed shape – it has dropped down, which is a sign of things preparing to move along. I have compared notes and it is looking like we might be on for puppies in a couple of days time!!
Our first litter came at 63 days, but the second and third litter came at 61 days!!!! (with the second litter showing signs of nesting on the 59th day!!!) We havent had any nesting (yet) from Molly but bless her, she has slowed down so much! We have decided restricted exercise only from now on. She seems alot heavier than in previous pregnancies.

A square Molly!
We have been making the most of feeling the puppies wiggling around, it is a strange feeling but really nice to feel the ripples of movement beneath your hand. We can also hear the heartbeats quite easily with a stethoscope!
Not long now Mollydolly darling! xx
Molly is now 56 days pregnant!! She is still very healthy and definitely glowing. She crept on to my lap this evening and I was amazed at how heavy she now feels!

We have roughly a week to go! Everything is ready for the new arrivals so all we have to do now is watch and wait!
At 8 weeks development the unborn puppies will be approximately 15cm long and will have hair and the pads on their paws!
Here is a photo of Molly at 53 days pregnant. She is still very cuddle and affectionate. Flopping over for a cuddle at EVERY opportunity. Molly has finally slowed up a bit on a walk! bless her she isnt running as fast – with that size tummy it is no surprise!

Molly is eating really well, everytime I go into the kitchen she is hoping I am feeding her!
We had a funny moment earlier when the dogs were chewing their antlerchews and Molly went over to Archie, took his antlerchew away from him and went back to her pile of antlers. So funny seeing Archies face as he admitted defeat immediately!
Roughly ELEVEN days to go!
Tonight I have cleaned her whelping box, with the help of Katherine, just needs setting up in place. Got all of the kit down, sterilised everything that needed sterilising and organised my puppy box. Everything is pretty much ready for the arrival of Molly’s little squeekers!
Here is a video clip of Mollys tummy. If you keep an eye on the top left hand side of the lit up area of Molly’s tummy. You will see some movements from the puppies!
Mollys puppys wiggling – I think they cant wait to come out!!!!! We could see three puppies moving at the same time!!!!!!
I cant believe we are at 7 weeks already!! I will be putting together the whelping box at the weekend and sterilising all the equipment ready for the big day.
Molly is doing fabulously. She still wants to be able to run and chase after a ball, so we are being careful that she isnt leaping to catch the ball.
We can now see the puppies wiggling around. It is lovely for us, as we can feel the puppies moving about really easily now. I have also heard a heartbeat with the stethoscope – a puppies heartrate is very fast and it sounds a bit like thundering hoofs (but obviously very scaled down!).

Molly 7 weeks pregnant
Now the unborn puppies have reached 7 weeks, the hair on the puppies will have started to develop and the colour of the coat will be showing! The puppies are now roughly 10cm long.
For comparison of Mollys developing tummy here are two photos …..

Molly at less than 4 weeks pregnant
Last night Katherine felt one of the puppies moving about! It is always exciting to feel the puppies!!
It wont be long until we can hear little heartbeats using a stethoscope!!! I cant wait. We are giving Molly lots of cuddles and making the most of “cupping” her tummy so we can feel any more movements.
Last time we did get to take a video clip of the ripples of movement that were going across Molly’s tummy!
Photos to come soon! (hopefully thursday – when she is officially 7 weeks!)
